What would your All-Time Wyoming Freshmen be?

I think Brett Smith locked himself in the QB position, barring his successor does even better. But who would be in the other positions?

Smith had 31 total tds last year, hard to compare Sween with those numbers. Did Sween account for 30 tds in his career? Bret Smith had a fucking great year as a freshmen.

Didn't Jovon Bouknight have a great first year (although he wasn't the primary recieving threat)? Ryan Mcguffey put up good number too.

Blair Burns had a good first year at cb.

Galand Thaxton is probably the best freshmen LB.

Not sure about the other spots.

Wynel Seldon had a decent year as a freshmen at RB ( 11 tds, 1,000 total yards & 870 rushing if my info is correct).

Who has started as a freshmen on the o-line? Did Adam Goldberg? Nick Carlson did for some games & I believe Sam Sterner did (are they really our best freshmen on the line though?). Chase Johnson started as a freshmen at OT and Kyle Hunter might of as well, both of them were good at times.

Did Mitch Donahue start as a Freshman at DE? I think Steve Sciffres (sp?) started four years on good teams and was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys.

Galand Thaxton LB #1
Jim Talich LB#2
Both started from Day 1.

Anyone remember Chuchwerua (sp?)

I think Donahue did start all four years. I think he was even an all WAC selection as freshmen.

I believe that was Wynel's Redshirt Freshman Year- are we counting redshirt years?

I believe that Jay Korth (maybe) started for four years, was eventually an all-conference player (and was rumored to have graduated with a 4.0 in Engineering).

How about Lee Vaughn and Brian Lee in the defensive backfield? I think Brian Lee's big interception year was as a freshman.

What year did freshmen become elegible to play?

Most of the players listed had a redshirt (i.e. Bouknight, Mcguffey, & Goldberg) so I assumed we were counting all freshmen rs & true.

Yep.

gotta have Shamiel Gary on the squad, no doubt. He may have peaced but he had a great freshman year. I would also put Wynell on there, and Ian Watts... who also left but still

His official UW Bio says he redshirted, do you have a source that is different?
