Jumping in here because I missed this somehow, but I just want to say that literally no one I know IRL has ever had a bad experience at The Crowbar outside of the [to be expected] hiccups common on extremely busy days (like Gameday) that you'll run into almost anywhere.
On the same hand, I've seen a very small handful of people online be curiously vehement about how existentially terrible the place is. But upon closer inspection, it's almost always the unsurprising suspects who have political bones to pick with the place (due to how vocal they are about a variety of social issues).
So forgive me, but I raise my eyebrow anytime someone spouts about how bad The Crowbar supposedly is.
As a local business owner myself, I've had my share of "someone doesn't like the owner on a personal/political level, so we're going to spend the rest of eternity making shit up about the business online", and I see it happen constantly with the Crowbar...so I can empathize. Especially when that's pitted against the experience of my entire [very large] friend/acquaintance/professional group.
