What the Nation Knows About Cowboy Football

As everyone knows the AP puts out a pregame info for the entire nation to see when a top 25 football team is involved. It is embarassing, but true, what everyone in the nation knows about Cowboy football.

From the AP:
"It does not appear Whittingham’s team will need a late comeback to take care of Wyoming (2-4, 0-3).

Among Football Bowl Subdivision teams, the Cowboys have the fewest touchdowns (six) and fewest points per game (9.3). Their average of 257.2 total yards per game is second-worst in the FBS ahead of only Florida International, and their 22 turnovers are the most.

Wyoming has been outscored 91-3 in Mountain West play, including shutout losses to BYU and New Mexico in its last two conference games."

But hey, we are averaging close to 5 yards a carry, and even if we tried to do something different, it wouldn't work anyways.

I bet Cole is just seething that the AP hasn't mentioned these accomplishments.

...which makes this quote all the more relavent...
"Stats are for losers. I like winning games." --Will Muschamp (Defensive Coordinator, Texas)
