What the hell is up with this article?

There's a class action lawsuit filed against EA because they have monopolized the football game genre by buying exclusive licenses to NFL, NCAA, and Arena League. The lawsuit says that EA has participated in anti-competitive practices since 2005, and has deprived gamers of the right to choose which product they would like to purchase. It also says that they have been price gouging, since NFL 2K5 was only $20. The catch is that anyone who has purchased a console EA football game since 2005 is automatically included in this suit, and that any ruling will extend to all these consumers. The downside is any ruling is final, and no one may sue EA again for having a football game monopoly.

EA was able to gobble up the market shares because their games were far superior to any other put out. EA games are always bad ass, and that's why they're on top and competitors are no more. NFL 2k5 was okay, but not as good as Madden.

I heard MLB "the show" rocks EA sports ass! Of course, I'll never know, because I usually only buy EA and I'm a 360 kind of guy. Just what a friend told me.

MLB the show is one of the best games of all time, graphics, gameplay, etc. I only buy two games a year, MLB the Show and NCAA Football 20XX. Both are great!

What a crock of s##t. I hope EA smokes these mother f##kers.
Are you a fool? we have been putting up paying $60 a year for a piece of crap beta version they call a game. Competition is a good thing and I hope EA pays out the ass and is required to give up their stranglehold on the sports gaming business.

Competition is a good , especially for us the consumer. 2k and others would step it up and show us how crappy EA games really are. Then at least we wouldn't be price gouged from EA any longer.

No, I'm definitely not a fool. Here is an idea...if the game is so crappy, then quit buying it.

Then maybe I'm the fool for continuing to buy it lol because I still enjoy playing college football enough to put up with such a crappy product. Sure would be nice if there were more options and competition to allow a better game for consumers.

I sure hope EA wins this lawsuit so the consumers continue to suffer :brick:
