What makes Season Opener exciting for you?

Just curious, I remember being in school (88-93), and the rush of being in town and feeling the rush of outta towners invading sleepy Laramie, the aweseome Sept weather in Laramie, tailgating in the parking lots, and overall a new excitement of a new team and the excitement of the fans walking in, parties around town afterwards. The War to me really looks beautiful now, I am truly proud to be a Wyoming Native and Alumni. GO POKES

The season opener gets me more excited than Christmas. I live close enough that making every home game is very much possible (and I do make every home game). I have been a fan of Wyoming football my entire life. When I was a kid I was excited because I got to go to the games with my parents. When I was in college it excited me because we had been busting our asses in the marching band to put on a performance, and gameday was performance day. Now I get charged up for no other reason than I love the Pokes! My friends and family and I have made it tradition to attend every game, tailgate hard, cheer loudly, and enjoy the day.

GO POKES!!! BEAT TOLEDO!!!

yeah growing up in Buffalo my dad was a Game Warden so the fall was "working" time, so didn't get to attend any games as a kid, sad. I was told that we went when i was really young up til a year old as we moved from Cheyenne to Buffalo we used to go to alot but I don't remember. I didn't attend my real 1st game until I was on a golf tourney in High School in Laramie and after the tourney we got to go in for free, it was against Iowa State in 1987, and man I fell in love and knew that's where I belonged. Then my true 1st game was 88 the 1st night game against BYU, treked it back from a Biology lab, don't remember much the rest of that night...lol.... I've lived many places and did the trek from Buffalo, Gillette, Cody, Casper, Phoenix, Salt Lake and Omaha, many years, but nothing like living in Cheyenne making the trek over year after year. Been to many away games as well, LOVE MY POKES!!!! Bring it on
