What is the rule about showing replays on the big screen?

During Official reviews, is there a rule about showing the play in question on the big screen? When they were reviewing the flubbed kickoff return, they showed the play on the big screen, including freezing the frame showing the returner on his knees picking up the ball. But during the Hail Mary review, they didn't show it once. What gives? Is there a rule about doing that? Or did they see something on the hail mary that they didn't want to point out?

Good question. I know the people I was texting that were watching it on TV were able to see it. So I wonder if it's just to keep the stadium from going into a frenzy?

Dont think theres an official rule.

Its just a bit of gamesmanship and is pretty common. If there is a questionable call that has benefitted the home team, its typically not shown on replay over and over but on the other hand if there is a call that has gone against the home team and it being overturned can benefit the home team, you're going to see that replay a bunch of times.

pretty common all over in football and baseball even.

Here is the "WYO" rule:

To avoid outrage, and shit being thrown on the field, if it looks like the call may go against Wyoming, right or wrong, you are NOT allowed to show the replay.

And there is also the fact that the Colorado Springs / MWC offices had a conference call scheduled with the refs prior to our game against Whale's Vagina. They (the refs) were specifically told to help WhaVag win the game, so they could get darlings 1 & 2 playing each other in the MWC championship in sunny San Diego. LMAO!!
