Wyoming very much needs that Rare Earths find to become real. It could replace a lot of jobs and severance taxes in declining industries.

It is not just the raw materials , the processing of the ore into usable form is where we have even greater problems.

Personally, yes, personally, I would have rather seen Wyoming State Flag uniforms. Red, White, & Blue - and man what cool combos they could be.

Is there financial considerations to the athletic dept in doing this? Is this "sponsored" by a company or Wyoming Mining association. Or is this truly just the AD saying "we love coal!" from the kindness of their hearts?

Personally I love alternate uniforms. These will look badass and a blackout or “coal out” would be cool for the fans. And getting the boot back would be icing on the cake!

It's sponsored. 21 different mining companies got together to sponsor the game, including the cost of the uniforms.
