We're now 4-2. We need 3 more wins.

New Mexico.....Colorado State (maybe). Must upset AFA.....other games range from long shot to impossible.

Maybe

New Mexico should be a win
CSU should be a win

Af is a toss up

SDSU -- Probably not but given the RB they have
TCU -- probably not
Boise -- NOPE

6-6 worst case
7-5 best case

USU loss really hurt bowl chances

AFA - Toss up I agree
SDSU - I won't count us out against them if the Wyo team that played UNLV shows up or USU team.
TCU - I don't count us out on this either SMU beat them and so can we.
BSU - Ya pretty unlikely were going to beat them on the smurf turf.

I don't think AFA is a toss up. Clobbering UNLV proves nothing.......The last road trip against a good team resulted in a 49 point loss. I think there's a solid chance Wyoming beats UNM/CSU and that's it.

Well lets look at numbers, We beat Bowling Green, we gave up points between we didn't nail the coffin shut we let up. Yes if we let up it will always get us in trouble but I'm sorry AFA hasn't played anyone that shows they are some amazing team.

Now if AFA beat ND and SDSU I would agree that it's not a toss up but that game is most definitely a toss up.

If we play every game for the rest of the season like we played today we can potentially match up against anyone but BSU I don't think we have a prayer there they are just a stronger team plain and simple.

I still think Wyoming's D-Line can't stop the run to save their lives. AFA isn't good on defense either, but their at home and Wyoming's not. Like I said, this UNLV performance did nothing for me. Good win, but Wyoming has beaten everyone they should beat and gotten killed by everyone better than them. Guess we'll see....

Geez.....yet another bye week.

Wyoming may have extra motivation against Air Force. AFA will be leaving for the Big East after this year thus the end of a long rivalry. We'll want to beat them in other last game....for a while at least....when we play them in Colorado Springs in a month!

Honetly I think our defense is more built to stop an AF type run team than it is to stop a NE or Utah State type run team...Knapton and Biezuns at DE against AF (I like our chances of at least getting a few stops)...we won't keep AF out of the endzone, but I dont think they will keep us out either.

IMO, the big game is CSU, just like it has been so many other years

Bingo. AFA attacks the corners with their run game, not the middle. It's the LB's and secondary that will need to make more tackles at the line than the DL and DE's.

AFA, CSU, and TCU all look realistically winnable. UNM should be a shutout. SDSU is a longshot. Think USU with a better defense.

But a worse QB.

Hardly. Lindley's far more seasoned, experienced, and capable than Chucky. This will be a virtual replay of USU against a tougher D and a QB who won't be rattle-able.

Lindley's accuracy and decision making has been questionable all season. Hillman has been bearing the load for the offense for the most part.

This is going to be a lengthy post with lots of images but bare with me.

Now I know statistical data doesn't mean everything but just looking at how we move the ball and scoring potential we can hang in there with any team but BSU by stats.

I think we have a shot at it. We will need to pull an upset, I too think afa is our best chance at an upset. We seem to play them tough even when we have a bad team and this year we seem to be better. It would be nice to get the upset out of the way right away against SDSU but it doesn't seem to be our best bet.

I am going to afa game with some friends, hope we don't have any bad fumble calls this year.

That is not entirely correct. If we can't stop the middle, they will FB dive us to death. That's the first option, if you don't stop it, they will do it all day. Then we have the other two options to contend with.

The 'Boys really need to win 1 of our next 3 games (SDSU, TCU, AFA) cause running the table the last 3 with BSU in there is not a good plan. While I would love a win against SDSU to take the pressure off, I think the AFA game gives us the best chance right now.

AFA's best win is against Navy (2-4). Navy has only beaten Delaware and W. Kentucky and got blown out by new conference mates So. Miss 63-35. I think the jury is still out as far as how good Navy or AFA really are at this point. I feel really good about our chances against AFA, we will probably be underdogs but I think we can end this AFA curse of close losses this year.

Even if we beat AFA, I don't think the CSU game is a gimmie by any means. (NM game better not even be close)

First things first, lets go shock SDSU. Getting the SDSU game or TCU game would really take the pressure off, but if we stumble against them I still think we can get it done. GO POKES!
