Heard he gave the verbal yesterday...great get Pokes!
 
Hopefully he'll have a late growth spurt. 5'11 is kind of short for a QB, although it doesn't matter quite as much since he seems to be a very mobile guy.
 
I'm excited but also have a few thoughts in my mind...seeing as his only offers were AFA and Navy + his height. Obviously its good to have a mobile QB in our system, but hopefully his passing skills are just as good. I trust the staff to properly judge this, based on their success so far though.
 
I feel much better about him as our backup QB then Dax Crum. Now Stratton can redshirt and focus on his rehab.
 
I know ACS is listed over 6 foot i really think hes closer to 6 foot than anything else this kid isnt much shorter than ACS

I stand at 6 foot, and I can tell you that standing next to ACS he is 2-3 inches taller than I am. He is a legitimate 6-2 for sure!

Yeah, I'm 6'1 and he's taller than me too. Not by much, but he is.
 
Let's not get overly excited here. Is he going to be as good as acs? Prolly not. Is he going to see the field very often with the schedule we have to play this coming season? Prolly not. Will there be a qb battle a few years down the road between him and stratton? Maybe. Bet anyone either him or sam doesn't finish college ball at the qb position if they both finish at uw.
 
Its still exciting to get an athlete at the QB position that can do a number of things and to hope they progress anything can happen over 1-3 yrs in a college program
