Well she's not a Aussie, but got game

Article about the signing in the paper today (not online) said with this being the 6th scholly filled by Joe so far, that he has 4 left to fill, and may fill one this summer. Huh? 10 scholarships to fill? Granted we have 1 from the previous year (Emma) and 4 who graduated (Aubrey, Randi, Hillary, Jade), and we lost 1 (Bec), so that makes 6...where are the other 4 coming from?

And anyone know about the volleyball / basketball transfer from Memphis, Carolyn Baker, that was on the bench last year? Is she committed to playing this year, both sports?

Not sure exactly. According to my calculations we technically have three left to fill, we might be losing one more that we don't know about. Here is the scholarship roster for next year as far as I know:

Sr:

Kristin Scheffler - May actually get a RS year and be a RS-Jr.

Jr:

Brenna Freeze
Chaundra Sewell
Ashley Sickles

So:

Chelan Landry
Kaylee Hoffman

Fr:

Kaitlyn Mileto
Kayla Woodward
Fatima Thiam
Mina Geric
Allison Gorrell
Jordan Sibrel

That is 12 players total and Women's BB gets 15 (Men only get 13). Now, traditionally Joe hasn't filled all of his scholarships. Last year there were only 11 on the roster (would have been 13 if Langford and Fitzgerald had stayed with the team). I can see him adding one more, but I doubt he would go to 15. It also wouldn't surprise me if he stayed at about 12 since we don't really have much of a senior class next year (maybe none) and he would certainly want to have options in the 2012 class. There are a couple of players that I think we have a shot at in the 2012 class that would be huge for this program.
