Well...be patient. Shyatt didn't win this tournament over night, and winning in football is 10x harder than basketball in general. Cheaper sport, only recruit 12 guys.

Yes football is harder to to be a consistent winner and upset higher ranked teams. But the players on the basketball team played with extreme effort and we're rewarded for that effort. The football team needs better player effort in crunch time. That begins with getting the right players who are willing to work and perform. There are too many underachieving players on the football roster and Bohl has to get the right kids with mental toughness like he had at NDSU. It will take some time, but he is getting the right kids through his recruiting. CDC offered a lot of players like Smoody Sutton who had poor work ethic. I believe those are ones who are supposedly quiting or leaving the team. Which is fine with me long term.

- Increased winning percentages every year (or atleast maintaining. No steps back)
- Beat one team a year we are not expected to
- Be in the top 3 of the MWC every year

After that it will be time to start worrying about championships. This is the ItSucksToBeACSURam "brain" talking. My heart wants undefeated seasons and national titles... :rofl:

In requards to what your looking for and wanting we are already on the upward trend.

-Yet to be seen obviously
-We did in year one by beating Fresno State and after the season you probably could have said Air Force too.
-Obviously still work to do

I think our trajectory should be a little quicker than in bball. The MWC, overall, simply isn't very good, so the hurdle really isn't that high to be competitive in the top 3-5 of the MWC.

On the other hand, it will take a significant amount of time to be a legit T25 team and MWC champs. I would like us to be bowl eligible this year and start trending towards 7 to 9 win seasons for a few years followed by a special season of 10+ wins and in the conversation for a MWC championship, T25, etc. I hope that we can gain consistency and never return to where we are now.
