we suck

I was there and this is the first time I have ever seen the student section so empty. Those who left their seats at halftime did not come back. It was half empty for the second half...

I stayed but it was hard. They came through the student section and gave free food. I had a burrito and pulled pork for free, so I guess it was worth staying.

I stayed till the end as hard as that was to do. Gotta keep my streak alive of never leaving a game early
Yeah it was sad to see the student section empty so fast but can you blame them? Go to the Library or continue to watch that sad display of football?

It's time to trash the Playbook this year until we get better talent to run it. Lets just go Air Raid/Pro Style with Crum and let him sling it around with timing patterns.

Didnt watch it but listening in the truck made me damn near slit my own wrists. Poor Dave Walsh has so little to get excited about he damn near has a coronary when they get 7 yards on a play.
But the end of the game was pretty entertaining. And by that I mean I put it on Hair Nation and they played Kix, Dokken, Slaughter and D.A.D all back to back. Good times. :thumb:

Considering ACS was afraid to throw down field for 3 quarters, we may have to.

I'm not going to throw everyone on the team under the bus, but the offensive coaching deserves a grade of "F" for their effort in this game. I was at the game, and we gave away one or two plays in every series on play calls that had 0% chance of success. When you do that, then you are trying to get the first down on one or two plays. Unless things change a lot, we win 2 more games this year at the most.

We suck against teams in the top 20, but let's see how we fare against the rest who aren't. Watching from the stands I observed:
(a)That ACS wasn't hitting the ground as much as he did last year or the first half of this year. (Remember how we all were screaming,"Throw the ball away!". Well, he is.) Careful what we wish for.
(b) Utah's first touchdown was a great call against our effort to sell out against a run. (Utah's runningback handled the ball 4 consecutive plays and I would have given it to him had I been coaching for 3rd and 2. That's why I'm not a coach.)
(c) Our small D-line appeared to be getting closer to breaking down the pocket, despite the success Wynn had.
(d)We saw a couple really great receptions by our receivers. 2 years ago, no one could even catch a ball, remember?

It's not much, but it is all I got. What else is there to do, quit watching college football in person? Move to Boise? :brick:

Well, thePokes are the first team this year to actually sack Wynn, and the second to get a sack on Utah, so that is a plus. And so were the 3 interceptions. Problem was, we only capitalized on the last one. I'm still not to confident in English, but more so in him than Arroyo, who called a speed option play on a 3rd and long, instead of a pass.

The O-line seems to be doing better, I'll give them that, but they still break down after a short time.

In spite of any "improvements", it looks to me that we only have a good chance in two of the remaining games: New Mexico and UNLV. CSU seems to be getting their groove and SDSU is a very good team. If the BYU game is close, the Pokes will probably be cheated out of it somehow.

Sucky offense aside for a moment, 2 things.
1. Air Force had brought more people to the game than Utah did.
2. A ute fan held a sign after the game that said "Good bye Wyoming. Go beat byu!"

So it was give and take there.

we r still doing as good as last year after this point if not better. if we beat air force, we all feel better about things. lets beat BYU instead.
