I will never help give creedence to the 2nd class citizen image that the powers that be are trying to force on us. We play at the same level as the so-called "Power 5" conferences, and I will NOT show any respect to a poll that tries to say we don't.

Was going to type something similar. Couldn't agree more.

There is already a FBS T25 poll. Last I checked, we are FBS.

True on travel and stuff...but still...Please ESPN and the world is your oyster. That's how guys like Manziel wins the Heisman. Make ESPN happy and they can give you anything.....until the NFL Draft then you're on your own.

It's not govts. you need to control...it's the corporations.

True....but the interest has to be reciprocated. As of this moment, ESPN has no reason to treat Wyoming with any special preference. That goes for many schools to be honest. There are times I wonder if they regret their deal with Texas. Not that many people give a shit about the Horns.

Even if Wyo wins under Bohl, ESPN won't care.
But here's something that will upset people...if we had DC and Brett Smith or Jason Thompson or Cade Smith and had a QB who was tearing it up and our team was fun to watch, ESPN would care.

If we become a great team because of a hard nosed defense, no one but us and opposing OCs will want to watch us.
Defensive shutouts, 3 and outs and punts don't get beer drinking channel surfers on saturday nights excited.
Brett Smiths, Johnny Footballs, Marcus Mariotas, Sean Mannions, Kellen Moores, Tim Tebows, Cam Newtons, etc. get people excited.

We don't have fan support, willingness to spend money, the TV market, or the drive to become a BCS team.
Utah didn't have it all either, but they had smarts. They rode the excitement of 2 BCS Bowl wins. TWO!
In the last decade there have been like 10 to 15 teams in the country to win multiple BCS Bowls. They convinced their fans they were a dynasty. And they were. They beat everyone, everywhere, all the time.
Then they get into the Pac12, and can go 0-12 every season and still make twice as much money as they did going undefeated in the MWC.

Wyoming won't ever go undefeated, and even if we did, our average attendance won't even hit 25K.

Why did College GameDay go to Fargo then? Brock Jensen was 57th in FCS in yards per game last year.

Hell has frozen over ...I agree but.......if wyo starts shocking people and winning games they aren't expected to...its a possibility....have to be sustained success with marque wins in front of TV sets.
