I'm not sure why went with "Dunk City" in the first place. It was just used a year or two ago by another school, and was a blatant rip off.

At least change it up a little, go with "New Dunk City" or "WySlammaJamma", "Dunk Town, USA", works too.

Who is the "they" we are talking about here making these decisions?

I noticed on TV at the SDSU game that there were a lot of students in the student section wearing "Dunk Town" shirts. It looked like they were given out by the AD, so I imagine this has been in the works for at least a week now.

Brown & Gold has always promoted "Dunk Town" - they are too wise to make the mistake of utilizing "Dunk City"...already knowing it was used at FGCU.

I believe it was UW's marketing department (within the AD) that started in with the "Dunk City" thing...and for that, they should be shown the door. That is a major FU, and absolute BUSH LEAGUE.

B&G DID have "Dunk Town" shirts, but was sold out when I went there the other day. They did however, have "Dome of Doom" shirts.

If we don't already, we need to copyright "Dome of Doom", which is a pretty cool nickname and has been around for quite awhile.
