Was it Cockhill or Glenn?

In today's Denver Post, coach Glenn says we'll be yanking each QB when they make a major mistake. Starting with Crum, moving to Sween, and moving on down.

Does that sound a lot like the strategies of prior regimes? It makes me wonder how much of the QB destruction machine we have become is due to Joe Glenn.

You bring up a pretty damn good point. I think Cockmaster mind-F'd our QB's while he was in control...he was a screamer (and not all athletes respond to that shit). I think Glenn sat idly by and said nothing while it was going on, as that was what he was used to seeing his OC's and QB coaches do.

Now, it is panic time. The urgency is ten-fold. The pressure has to be at an all-time high in the RAC!

All I know is that Joe Glenn has never blamed the players any time that we have had a bad game. This is all new stuff to me. I just can't believe that he would publicly come out and say this. He's never done this before. I think what we actually need are some more birthdays on the offensive line and and with the people who are supposed to catch the ball thrown by the quarterback and everything will be ok. Where's the piano? I'm so fired up for this game now!

Right about never before hearing Joe blame his players...and if it has "really" come to that...we are seeing Vic #2...the end of an era.

I am not sure I see this as blaming players. I see this as holding players accountable for their play. If someone doesn't do their work at a job they get reprimanded or fired, if someone doesn't do their school work the flunk. How is this any different? I know lots of emphasis has been put on the QB's, but Glenn said at the radio show that the same thing applied to RB's and WR's who turned the ball over. I haven't heard Glenn come out and say "The reason we lost was because Dax Crum threw an interception, or D-Mo dropped the ball" So to me its all about accountablilty and I don't have a problem with it, especially if it works. I am not trying to defend Glenn here; although I do like the man, I think the record at the end of this season should be the deciding factor, if we aren't 6-6 minimally we need to go another direction.

.

So who will Glenn be using in the second half for QB (assuming the Pokes get their hands on the ball three times in the first half)?

I'd like to see a little more of Stutzriem's laser passing. He was in for a series in the BYU game and looked good until the pick. He's big and not real mobile but seems to have some quality instincts that are missing with Crum and Sween.

Glenn started pointing fingers at players over the course of the last two seasons. Cockhill may well have been the scapegoat to buy more time but it appears the real root of the problems is starting to surface. And the root is the Piano Man.
