Was inviting BSU, UNR, and Frsno, the right thing to do?

I am feeling like inviting Boise, Fesno, and Nevada was a bad move. I just get a sinking feeling everytime I go over to the MWC board and look at all of the BSU, Nevada, and Fresno posts, topics, and content.

Anybody else get a similar feeling? Not really basing it on fact or anything, just a gut reaction I get. :?

I know that BSU's numbers pretty much fill in for Utah's, but I just have that feeling that we did something that should not have been done.

Hmmm.

My way of thinking? Great move. FUCK bWHYu. And with the Yoots leaving, our hands were tied. I love the city of Reno, and think Boise is great as well. Fresno is a little different, but still a good atmosphere to travel to. I look forward to going to all three, and I think all 3 will be competitive in the MWC.

On that note...if we continue our 10 year trend, it probably was a bad idea, because they can, and will, beat our asses.

If you look on the MWC board, most topics are about how great Nevada and Boise are.

I'm starting to think we traded one arrogant fanbase for 2 here.

I worry about Nevada's sustained success.. they're having a great year this year, and a few previous, but since their move from the Big Sky they've not done anything spectacular. That's a team we're relying on, in theory, to replace BYU. Boise will be fine, but I think they're going to find out really quick that the MWC is a lot different than the WAC. Fresno's a wild card, IMO. If the MWC wants to get serious, they're going to need a big hitter for the 12th team.. Houston might do it.. but again, not a ton of historical success. I don't want a flash in the pan as a 12th team, this team needs to mean business. So while Fresno and Nevada will shore up our mid-conference strength, and Boise will continue the success of the upper-conference, we need one more big hitter. Plus, we need teams like UNM and UNLV to step it up.

And honestly, who gives a fuck about fanbases. A loyal fanbase, is a good fanbase.. it means they care and are more likely to travel. But seriously.. worrying about a fanbase in terms of conference strength/ability to make money is crazy.

Referring to the whining cocksuckers, known as byu...you would have to bring in the equivolent of the entire SEC league to make up for just the lone loss of those hypocritical crybaby sonofabitches.

I know I know. But I can't shake this feeling that maybe we missed something or screwed something up with the invite.

The conference wouldn't exist if the invitations were not made. So absolutely the right move! Had we not invited Boise when we did, I think Boise stays in the WAC and BYU gets their INDY WAC scheduling alliance. Remember Boise State was invited before Utah and BYU left. Then, if our commisioner didn't go on the offensive when BYU tried to kill the conference. I think Boise looks at the MWC and says wow, TCU might leave as even CUSA might be better, AF might leave and go indy (because they absolutely could schedule as an indy)...and Boise says hmm we will just stay in the WAC.

So basically it would be CSU, WYO, UNM, SDSU and UNLV...then SDSU and UNLV might say we are going to the WAC...leaving us, CSU and UNM high and dry.

The right thing to do? for us as Wyoming fans, ABSOLUTELY!

Only one i questioned was Fresno. They were a shitty program in the old WAC,causing fights and problems every game against conf opponents. Now we have them again.
