Looks like they are moving a couple of the statues for the new high altitude training center.

On a side note - looks like enclosing the south endzone is in the plans for the next 10 years.

Enclosing the south would make total sense. We complain about the loss of seats then complain about having too many because we can't fill it. I think enclosing it would make the stadium appealing. Just my opinion. I believe the capacity should be at 35000-38000. Can't keep regressing ya know.

Hope they keep in mind that the longer seats are in the sun, the more enjoyable the game is. 15 or 20 degrees go away the second you're in the shade in October / November.

South stands seats would be Northern exposure, so would never get sun, basically. But the stadium layout is what it is, you only have the north and south sides to work with.

Making it a horseshoe, filling in the south end would be sweet!
Along with some other renovations throughout as well.

IMO they should enclose the south endzone and install chair back seating.

The south endzone is a great place for the band and cheap seats.

How many empty seats do we want? Is the goal 20k unfilled?
Ideally we would upgrade to larger seats, so the end zone addition will bring things back to our normal 30k or a little less

I would be surprised if it's a full enclosure. I'm thinking just a smaller section with no upper deck. Remember, the new video board will be over on that side of the field now, too.

I'm picturing something similar to what the Gophers have.

For what it's worth , I'm not sure why you would increase capacity , how many games were sold out ?I made a few games and it wasnt real full . Was it different last year ?

We can't just keep decreasing capacity so it looks fuller. We need to build a team that fucking wins and then we'll be happy more of us can go watch them.

What happens if we start competing for conf. championships 3 or 4 years from now? I'm more into thinking about the future than the past.

If they put seats in the south endzone they will kick the students out of their prime seats and dump them there. Pretty much exactly what happened at the AA. So yeah, if you want nobody in the good seats and the only crowd that shows up in the shit seats just like the AA, lets enclose the south endzone.

I think they should make the new end zone seats like a dirt cheap "rockpile" thing with maybe a well regulated full service bar or something back there.

I don't agree. The War used to have endzone seating. It was call the knothole and cost about $2.
