WAC and Big Sky merger?

This was originally posted on the MWC board, but I was wondering if anyone here had heard anything about this.
 
I'm curious why Idaho wouldnt be for this? To me it seems like a great way for them to remain in a viable league and to continue to pursue FBS football at the same time. Although, this move would be mostly to the benefit of Boise State.
 
Idaho would recruit better players for football if they were FCS.. they'd be competing with their peers in the Big Sky.. they'd never land a decent recruit again as an Indy.

sounds like there are some legs to this story....sounds like u of m and msu want to safeguard the wac for a little while to see if they wanna go fbs in the short term future? you know denver and seattle would be all for it bc they are geographically isolated and have no other obvious choices...nmsu and idaho would like for the short term to buy some time and some of the bigger big sky schools would like to test the waters of moving up...plus for schools like montana and montanta state to have boise and maybe air force coming to town for oly sports would be a nice bonus instead of suu and nau?
