I have never seen a shittier overturn of a called TD catch in my whole life! BYU replay officials must of been working this one with a check from Michigan in their pockets! I can't see how there was "indisputable" evidence.

Weird, the Allstate guy just said he was Michigan alumni. It's all clear now.

Simply pathetic on a beautiful TD catch.

Jim Delaney(Big Ten Commish) is directly responsible for keeping BSU out of this game.......wonder if he gave that booth a call on that overturned TD?

Dumb question, sorry: do the refs get the same replays we do, or are there "ref camera teams"?
No idea....good question. I do know this.....in order to overturn a call, they must have indisputable evidence that it wasn't a catch. How in the world could anyone claim THAT was indisputable?

That's why I ask, that one view, IMHO, shows him still pulling the ball in as it hits the ground. If I'm the recall official I make the same call. Not trying to start a war...

he had possession when the ball touched the ground. the ground did not help him catch the ball. The ball touches the ground on almost every diving catch. He had the ball pinned to his stomach. watch again. he his holding it to his stomach when he hits the ground. just because his elbow and the ball hit the ground at the same time don't mean shit. If he had a steamboat on his helmet, you all would be screaming.

Virginia Tech is my second favorite team. That recall of the TD hurt, but honestly, if the Hokies were able to covert TDs instead of field goals in their red zone drives, they wouldn't have needed the last-minute heroics.

Because it showed the ball hitting the ground before he secured it.

Ball was secured in his harms and not moving as he hit the ground. He was in bounds. Therefor it was a catch. IMO

I hate Michigan, and I still think it was the right call to overrule. He didn't yet have full control of the ball when it hit the ground, and it looks like it slipped an inch or so in his grip. I think that's enough evidence to overturn it...

I though that the overturn was correct. It looked like he didn't have full possession of the ball plus the ball hit the ground half second before his elbow did after watching the slo-mo a couple of times.

sure looks like he has it to his chest there and the ball doesn't move when he hits the ground. the ball CAN touch the ground if you have possession which he did. I thought it was a catch straight up, but to actually overturn the call on the field seems even more absurd.

To me it looks like the ball is loose. I liked the call. Agree to disagree.
