I think you posted to the wrong thread or you don't know what a moral victory is.

Let me help you out.

Moral victory:

a defeat that can be interpreted as a victory on moral terms, for example because the defeated party defended their principles.

-or-

an actual defeat regarded as a virtual victory because of the narrowness of the margin or because of some circumstance that gives satisfaction or hope.

This thread is referring to the "Victory over Nevada..." A real victory where Wyoming scored more points, thus gaining the win. A moral victory is something else (please refer to the definitions above). Class dismissed.

Is that who that was, wow, great memory!? How many years ago was that? Very similar, don't you agree? I ceased posting on the MWC board when SDSU became too good for everyone and left for the Big East.
 
SDSU fans were a true piece of work for a few years over there. They seem to be coming back down to earth these days.

There were a couple (K5, Andre) that were just venomous about everything MWC. They dumped on it when they were leaving, and then when they came back, they continued to dump on it with a building full of excuses. The better-than-thou mentality they had reminded me a lot of bWHYu...and how they looked at the MWC when they were in the conference (and when they left).

a whole lot coming back next year(s). We are a young team. I know we all know this..but I am excited with where this team is going. We are 1-6. I want to throw up at that number. I am still confident Bohl is the man for this job. We are still getting great recruits and we are LOSING!! Give it time...Hang in there...I know we have all said it before and we are sick of the "give it time" rhetoric. It'll make the MWC Championship and bigtime bowl that is in our future feel that much better.
 
We'll lose Cam, Eddie, Siaosi, Troy Boyland, Rafe Kiely and Berger. We're poised to replace everyone, but the DEs very nicely. Losing Eddie will be a huge blow and I don't see how we replace him at this point. There are a ton of juniors, but hopefully after they graduate the young ones will be ready to step up and the program will be on its feet looking to do something big. There's a lot to look forward to .

It was amusing to me, because before Hoke arrived, their football program was garbage. After they went to a bowl all these guys came out of the woodwork turning their nose up at the MWC. The only thing Andre has left is the lame "yer mom" jokes.

Having said that, I'm very relieved and happy for the players they won. What a monkey off their back to know they won't be going 0-12. I was one of the first to say they would go winless, and I was obviously wrong. It felt nice to finally see Wyoming on the right side of the scoreboard. In fact, I think a couple more wins (Colorado St., Fresno St., UNLV are all winnable games) isn't out of the realm of possibility. But let's pump the brakes just a little on how this was some program-defining win.

No offense taken. I have said all along I want to win. When they win, they deserve credit. And I do really believe they can win a couple more. I'm not all negative, despite what some may tell you. I do think we're going to get crushed Saturday, unfortunately. :thumbdown:
