She actually had 3 straight 20 win seasons going (her first two years were bad). Far more successful than Shyatt or DC (not to mention the myriad other sports we lose in). I am not the biggest fan of hers, but objectively she was acheiving a decent level of competitive success.

Anyone hearing any rumors of possible NCAA infractions? I heard the rumor of NCAA investigation, but have little credible information. The resignation does seem curious for sure.

So, Oregon gets a slap on the wrist (1 scholly a year? Really!?), Miami was a clusterfuck, and Auburn is, well, yeah.
Meanwhile, BSU gets slammed for letting recruits crash on a couch and eat McDonalds and we'll probably get hammered too for helping players find a place to live and providing small appliances.

Kind of amazing how a story grows. If I am not mistaken, initially upon Yerty's resignation we heard that the AD didn't know the reason why she resigned. Although there was some questioning here and on other blogs about whether the resignation might have something to do with NCAA violations all we got was "it's a personnel matter, we can't comment." Then we hear that the AD administration became aware of questionable activities in Sept. 2012 and started its own investigation. And we learned that the AD and Yerty were reflecting on how to handle this situation in regards to the NCAA response (it was also apparently notified of possible violations in Sept. 2012). And we learned that to soften the possible NCAA findings we hired another compliance member (I suppose another assistant or association AD--what is that now an even dozen assistant/associate ADs). And we also learned that the AD had written Yerty a letter saying "we have decided to go in another direction" (guess that is a nice way of saying you're fired!). Now we learn that the NCAA will likely be on campus in July and that, I guess the AD, is thinking of forfeiting three years of games--again appeasing the NCAA in hopes of getting lighter or no sanctions. Oh almost forgot, we also learned that a team manager was practicing with the volleyball team and the internal suspensions imposed by the AD last March
Quite frankly if I were a NCAA investigator I think I would probably hit the athletic department pretty hard with lack of institution oversight of a program. After all, there were apparently problems at Memphis which the AD had to have been aware of when he hired Yerty and therefore there should have been more oversight placed on the volleyball program because of the coach's past actions. I would hope the incoming president would question the leadership in the athletic department (or should I say lack thereof?) Of course TB is a hometown product so doubt that anyone would question why more diligent oversight was not placed upon the volleyball program; I know if Moon were still in the chair, Wyoming fans would be baying at the moon for his head!
Wonder what other suspense will creep into this story before it ends. Becoming a real thriller!

the time to get a new AD was after he hired heath schoyer. tom burman has a bad football program 4 losing season in seven years and in men basketball he has seven losing mountain west season. In volleyball due to tom burman hire we will get ncaa violation. Fire tom burman
