UW Men's golf team follows UW Women's golf team lead...

The Cowboys finished the three-day tournament with a 54-hole score of 891. San Diego State defended its title with a tournament-winning score of 844. Wyoming finished eighth, nine strokes behind seventh-place Air Force (882).

Well, to be fair, golf is really not a northern sport.

Gee, we kinda noticed that.

Well, golf is from Scotland. That's pretty far North. So how do the Scots do it? Maybe recruit Scottish players?

Yeah, you really bleed Brown and Gold Peaches! Hey, from Mr. integrity who always does the right, upstanding thing, ,at least you don't just make your childish, ignorant comments on football only. You seem to be an equal opportunity childish, ignorant poster which I guess is a tad bit better than a 'selective' childish, ignorant poster.

Our men's and ladies golf teams are darn good, peaches, and those kids work hard all year, in what is a very tough golf environment for most of the academic year in Laramie, to represent UW. No, they don't go around preaching that they bleed Brown and Gold, yadda, yadda, yadda, like some posters do, they just work hard and do their best to represent UW. Where's that Brown & Gold blood you bleed, peaches? Words are SO much easier than deeds aren't they? :D The new golf complex is BADLY needed to give our BROWN & GOLD representatives a chance to compete with a fair chance to win and even with that complex our kids will have to dig deep against opponents who can walk, and play, the course all year and get much better 360 degree practices than our kids will get.

Reflect, pardner, reflect and think. You're sitting in front of a computer and knocking kids who work their butts off for UW, year around!

Easy on the personal attacks there internet tough guy. You don't know who I am, what my relationship is with the University of Wyoming, nor what I do for a living. You would be surpised, and learn to watch your mouth if you did.

Further, our golf teams are not "darn good" nor do they really work "hard" all year. And it doesn't matter what they build for that program, short of a domed 18 hole course, it isn't going to help the cause...nor standing, as annual conference cellar dwellers.

Jesus McNuggets. It I'd have known it woulda caused a fuss fight, I wouldn't have bumped a 10 day old thread.

The facts are... Yes. They're kids. Yes. They do need a domed course in order to really compete with schools who can play year round. This is why OU has no snow ski team, y'all.

Don't feel bad, ma'am. We are still a bit pissed off that the university dumped the skiing program for golf. A skiing program that won NCAA National Championships. :brick:

Nope. We won a couple in the early '90s I believe. Jackson Hole even hosted the NCAA Championships one year.

Welcome to UW's administration when it comes to athletics since the late '90s. One dumb move after another. :brick:

Both OU and OSU has made fewer dumb mistakes since the late '90s. Helps both are in the Big XII, a BCS conference and that Boone Pickens gave millions to OSU athletics.

OSU athletics would be no whurr sans Boone, and that's the truest statement on earth. He revived, rebuilt, rewhatever that program. OU admin has made some good and bad decisions, but of course acquiring Bobby was the no. 1 best one.

That said... Not sure how this affair with the SEC is gonna turn out. Kinda seems like an extended booty call where the parties don't really like each other but cant deny that one thing they do one thing really well together... In this case, ramp up excitement for CFB.

:) Personal attack! :) Sensitive there, peaches? No attack was intentioned. I was just 'suggesting in a subtle way', :), that a person who attacks UW athletes, like you have done over the past few days, both in football and golf, and professes to be of the utmost integrity, bleed Brown & Gold, etc., needs to reflect, look in the mirror, and TONE IT DOWN! No internet tough guy intentioned but I will say that there is no way I'd "watch my mouth" if I heard what the infamous peaches intimates would cause me to shiver if I found out what you do for a living.

Hey, I'm all for letting it go and moving on but knocking UW athletes is not cool, whoever you are or whatever you do, and particularly when the attacker professes to hold the high ground on integrity, bleed Brown & Gold, etc.

All UW athletes make a HUGE decision when they decide to attend UW and from my experience the vast majority of them work their tails off to succeed. Some do and some don't but the vast majority try like heck while balancing school, sport, and non-school/sport lives. A tough task that many don't appreciate.

PS: Our golf teams DO work hard ALL year. They are up up early for weight and conditioning training, have skills work ALL year, and work for UW all nine months trying to get better. Dissing them, or any of our athletes, is NOT cool or funny.

Golf is gay. It's something married guys do because they are unable to do anything else. Might as well have a horse shoe team. I think sport fucking should be a collegiate event, at least wyo would be on a level playing field with that one. I cant think of another sport that uw shouldn't have mire than golf.

Like the old saying goes, pardner, keep your mouth shut and people can only 'think or assume' that you are stupid. Open it and people will have definite proof that you are STUPID!

Your proof is u believe golf at 7200 ft and 4 months above freezing is a good idea. I don't disagree with peach much and now I know why, we both have bad ass avatars and we aren't fucking retarded.
