Utes and Zoobies

Does anybody else find it funny that the Utards dropped their series with BSU to play BwhyU after BSU is killing people and the zoobies are getting killed? I like them keeping the rivalery alive but the timing is funny.

1. The PAC-10 is currently playing a 9-game conference schedule. Been doing it for past 2-3 seasons.

2. From what I heard, the PAC-10 was going back down to an 8-game slate in the next couple of years but that was before CU and Utah were added. The 9th game would be the Conference Championship game if they can agree to do a 2 division format that everyone would be happy with.

Since joining the PAC-10, the Utes have picked up games against both Montana State and BYU. Dropping Boise had nothing to do with the fact that they had over-scheduled, but everything to do with not wanting to play a non-BCS team that would likely beat them on the road.

Even if they HAD to maintain their rivalry with BYU, they DID NOT have to pick up Montana State.
