This U is going to be more accurate of what they will end up with from what I hear around in Salt Lake. I also have heard rumors that they might end up using more of the "Scoop" the Hawk? Not sure...there are rumors like this pretty much every couple of years. We will see what happens.

My bet is they end up with the logo from the new building renderings.

Nope. It looks like status quo for the next year anyway according to this: http://www.ksl.com/index.php?sid=18726703&nid=840&title=utes-to-keep-drum-and-feather-logo

I, for one, continue to have an interest in the program that we played longer than all but one other school in our history. I hope we get to have a non-conference basketball series with Utah sooner rather than later.

I cannot blame someone if they are so impressed with Wyoming's unified branding with our Steamboat logo that they decide that the University and all of the sports teams should use the same logo. No one ever gets confused about how our teams belong to our university which belongs to our state.

All of that said, they named the whole state after the Utes, who originally resided there. Does the P.C. crowd think that they should also change the name of the state so that the original inhabitants are completely obscured from our popular understanding of the place? Both the Utah Utes and the [North] Dakota Sioux make more sense to me than any other State school/Mascot combination out there.
