@ utah state

The Pokes can still be a pretty good team, if they can control tos and fouls which I think Sundance will focus on. Pretty good really for a throw together group of kids.

Impressive showing tonight in a very tough place to play. Utah State was a 20 point favorite.

It’s a loss, but this result will raise some eyebrows.

Didn't get blown out at the "glorified living room" in Logan...way better Pokes teams have gotten blown away in years past.
.I'm ready for conference season!!! Go get em Cowboys!! Excited to see ya sometime soon

Great effort, kept their composure, and finally some success beyond the arc. Tough to win when the opponent scores 19 from the free throw line and a sneeze was called a foul for the visitors. Been a while since I’ve seen that kind of lopsided officiating in a conference game. Usually it’s just plain bad for both, but there were some really questionable calls called on us and a lot that were let go for them. I hate how our league officials call games. They don’t let teams or fans even get into a flow. A whistle on almost every possession is hard to watch and teams can’t even get into a flow. Then once teams hit the tournament, they don’t know how to adjust to physical defense and get beat. Sets everyone up for failure. On the bright side, this team shows growth every time they play a game and they will beat some teams that are considered better than them. Looking forward to the rest of the season! Make it special Pokes!

Wyoming lost this game because they lost the rebounding battle.

Wyoming actually had a higher shooting percentage from the field and from behind the arc. They had some turnovers at unfortunate times, but only ended up with 4 more turnovers than Utah State had. If we were just able to break even on the glass, we win this game.

The officiating may have been horrible, and that may have had an impact on the outcome of the game, but that is something the team has very limited control over. In college basketball today, you have to enter into the game expecting the refs will be working against you. If I were a coach in today's college game, I'd tell the players to treat the game as if we were starting the game in 10-0 hole because that would probably be the point swing once you take into account the egregious officiating when you are playing on the road. Letting it get to you during the game itself does absolutely no good though. Just have to expect it and make it part of your game plan.

For sure. We got screwed. That flagrant foul was a freaking joke

Ebube goal tended a ball and then fouled a guy on a made 3 right before half or we would have had a 3-5pt lead instead of being down by 3. 4 pt play was killer before half
