Utah State Predictions

USU's luck runs out with a Hawaii to Laramie turnaround and film on Myers. Wyoming gets a couple big plays and a key turnover and wins it in overtime 17-14.

I am shocked though at the 30 point predictions. Its not happening for either team. This D's only vulnerability is the deep pass and they make up for what they do give up with TOs. Other than Tennessee where the Offense was responsible for 17 points on TOs and the D kind of let a couple drives go down big in the 4th no one has come close to that. ISU and Wake, and UNLV got some late junk scores to go over 20. ASU got their 21 with an overtime TD.

This is a tough proud talented D the Cowboys will face and they will have to earn this one ugly.

Sharp and Natson worry me. Natson single handily clowned us last year. Although I think the USU QB is young, I think his WRs are good enough to burn us several times. Sharp and Natson will have a field day I think.

Once again, I hope I am totally wrong, but I think USU covers this one. 31-23 range.

Finley won't let that happen, I'm not saying he is the saving grace by any means as he isn't. However he does what no secondary for UW has done for a while and that is jump routes and attack the ball. He doesn't wait for the pass and then attack he is ready when they line up.

We've been missing someone like that in the secondary I felt like Finley should have been playing all year and I'm not sure what he did or didn't too so he wasn't but I'm ecstatic to see him on the field he makes good defensive plays.

I think it will be an odd score line, something like 26-18 Aggies. USU defense is legitimate. Until we can shut down teams routinely I have to assume USU will at least score 24-30 points.

I agree wyo2dal. We all wondered what Finley had done or hadn't done to lose his starting gig. Glad to see him out there doing what we all thought he could

run defense may be legitimate. Did you see the Hawaii pass game last week? That is not great defense by any stretch.

At the end of the day, how many points did Hawaii score?

Rivalries are forged through history and proximity. I am sure over time this game will feel more like a rivalry game.

Meh, not anymore of a rivalry than the Utes were. Just another conference game.

I think Wyoming rides this new wave of momentum to a 24-20 win.

P.S. Am I the only one who gets annoyed when people still cry out "Power River, let 'er Buck?" Didn't that die with Joe Glenn?

It didn't die a lot of people still use it, I personally don't have a problem with it either way. Better to have some catch phrase than nothing at all.

Powder River...not power river. It was big when several of us were in school. We know it was a Joe Glennism, but it's still a good call and response for fans.
