Gameday is a day early this week so naturally our predictions come earlier. Very intriguing game this time. A lot on the line for both teams especially our Cowboys. Are we hungry enough and have enough momentum, or are we come off such an emotional high and meeting a brick wall of a defense?

I think this game will be highly contested throughout. I feel that we are going to run better than expected and our defense to actually make the USU freshman QB look like a freshman with the confidence the Fresno game gave the defensive line. I am looking forward to this one.

USU won't be fooled, like FSU was, into thinking the Pokes won't have a running attack because Wick was out.
So they will pack the box for the run and depend on speedy secondary for man-to-man on the WR's.
This means that Poke gains will rely on short pass trickery. If the Pokes execute this flawlessly, expect 17 to 24 points.

The defense is another matter. The coaches have seen this QB now. Are they sharp enough to detect and attack his weaknesses? I think so, but USU still gets a minimum of 20 points. So the best scenario for the Pokes is a 24 - 20 descision.
 
Your best shots on the USU defense is attacking the corners for big gains. We screw up twice a game. The sheep got their first and last scores that way for 10 points. Others have done it as well, so I expect Wyoming to get some big plays too.
 
I love college football. Every person on the usu has them winning. Every one on here will have uw winning. :D

Hope this rivalry grows.

hmmm....

I was out of town, so I didn't keep up with last weeks game at all. Wow.. Still in a bit of happy shock!

But..this week. hmmmm....

My head says it won't happen, but my heart says it will..
 
Sharp and Natson worry me. Natson single handily clowned us last year. Although I think the USU QB is young, I think his WRs are good enough to burn us several times. Sharp and Natson will have a field day I think.

Once again, I hope I am totally wrong, but I think USU covers this one. 31-23 range.

I agree. That's why I was not picking :)
Was more responding about how I would attack our D, deep throws, and the TE behind the backers.
 
I'm driving all the way from Lovell so the pokes better win! I'm going with my heart on this one pokes win 27-24 with Stewart Williams knocking the game winner as time expires.

Maybe I'm the only one, but I don't see usu as a rival at all. CSU and AF for sure. Just me I guess.

Nonetheless, I think aggies win 28-14 or so.

Rivalries are forged through history and proximity. I am sure over time this game will feel more like a rivalry game.
 
Pokes find a way to get it done late and we get a huge win at the War, the field goal does not boink off the upright this time...lol 31-28
 
Aggies are 5th in the nation is rush defense. That will be the difference in a low scoring game. I don't expect us to hold the cowboys to -25 yards rushing like we did against Wake Forest, but I'd be surprised to see Wyoming get much over 130 yards rushing. 14-10 Aggies.
 
20-17 Cowboys! Last possession fg. Stewart strikes true this time. I think Finley and Tutien and Burns will do well in coverage. Everyone's been saying, "where's Finley, where's Finley?" All season. Well he more than showed up last week. I think his confidence is right where it needs to be. Our DL played really good, I think these guys will be ready to go get it done.
