Great start time. Conference opponent. 6-1 record. Those fans don't deserve that team. geez. That's why they should not have been allowed in the MWC with San Jose

I bet you if SJSU were 6-1 and the recent success of Ut. st. they would have about 16k fans at their gamescalpoke25 said:Huh? They are on a completely different level than SJSU.

I'd rather worry about what we do than what others do.

No doubt. On that note - did you see the attendance for the game before ours on CBS Sports? I think it was Louisiana Tech...couldn't have been more than 5,000 there. Sad.

Outside of the big programs with oodles of legacy seatholders, live sports attendance is tanking. Inconvenience, improved technology, the wide availability of game broadcasts or streams, the unpredictability of weather, the relative disinterest of millennials and their propensity toward indoor activity are all working against attendance at live sports events.
In the future, I see smaller stadiums that are highly amenetized, including concourse lounges, in-seat food ordering via smartphone apps, personal game "broadcasts", and near-constant promotional activity similar to what goes on at NBA and NHL games...

No one would force you to participate in any of such things...OrediggerPoke said:Wyovanian said:McPeachy said:Asmodeanreborn said:Wasn't all that long ago that we had games with under 10k in the stands.

I think you're right and that's depressing. Personally, I just want to watch the game free of the other distractions. It's why I decline to sit in the Wildcatter and other similar box type situations.
You're absolutely right. But I get distracted easily and have a hard time focusing with so much else going on in the background. It's my personal preference and I absolutely realize that sports franchises have to evolve to the desires of the population and fanbases as a whole (the majority of who probably like and require the additional entertainment).Wyovanian said:No one would force you to participate in any of such things...OrediggerPoke said:Wyovanian said:McPeachy said:Asmodeanreborn said:Wasn't all that long ago that we had games with under 10k in the stands.
