Proud of the way the team fought to stay in the game. Execution on the last possession was disappointing. I thought they should have penetrated to the middle and kicked out for the three to win. It looked like Walker was open, too. Overall, it was an improved effort against a good team.
That's what Sundance wanted. Think Naz panicked on the play.

Good game, Pokes. Your kids played hard right to the buzzer. You should be proud of them.
This board was one of the first places I came when USU joined the MWC. The thing I was most excited about then was playing Wyoming and CSU regularly. I'm not happy with the current situation. I think realignment was handled stupidly by the PAC-2 and the first four schools to jump. Now we're all going to suffer. Long term rivalries are being broken up, and both the PAC and the MWC are being forced to take weak partners for the sake of stability. We all would have been better off with a full merger, but nobody asked me.
We'll still have some encounters in minor sports the rest of this year, but for major sports, this is the last time we'll play for the foreseeable future. I hate that. I still just want to play Wyoming, CSU, Nevada, and maybe UNM. I'm OK with some of the others, but I don't care a bit about the California schools and Boise.
Good luck going forward. I will always cheer for the Pokes, except when you play USU.
