USU-WYO traveling trophy idea. Part 2

So has anyone heard anything about the trophy idea?
I talked to that kid on student senate, and am now realizing how bureaucratic that crap can be and haven't heard anything. Basically like nothing was even said.

I know it was discussed in a meeting of the senior AD staff before the season started. I don't know anything beyond that, but I think there is interest, and I wouldn't be surprised to hear an announcement either right before, or even during the Wyoming game.

At this point, it looks like it would need to be remade, as the original was lost sometime ago.

This....is exactly what happened.

UW took the trophy to the islands in 1997 and after we beat them...again...we had it taken to a local shop on Oahu to get repaired and somehow it disappeared.

Their fans aren't any mood for anything right now. Their coach is a coaching dinosaur and reminds me of a stubborn mule.

But seriously, we've been where they're at. It sucks, but maybe Chow can get things going, maybe not. Chow wanted to retire at home in Hawaii by building up Hawaii, but it doesn't really look like it, though their defense looks to be better, but their QB, sans Fresno's backups, is not good.

Though Fresno's backups are just horrible. Gave up almost 40 points to Hawaii, one of the worst offenses in the country.

Hawaii, although winless, has put up a battle in every game, including USC and Oregon State, and ESPECIALLY Fresno St.

They are going to end up with like 1 or 2 wins, and one will be against the Sheep!

Only reason why it was a battle with Fresno is because their HC forgot they have 0 depth on defense.

UH has a lot of good individual talent. The next coach will be thrilled with what he has. But under Chow, UH's issues know no bounds. 0-12 is not out of the question. Its crazy how history repeats itself. Fred Von Appen went 0-12 in 1998 with a team that had multiple future NFL players.

Didn't someone on this board get a response from the athletic department that the Paniolo trophy would not be renewed as we will only play Hawaii 2 out of every 4 years in the current configuration?

I think it should be a rule that all home games against Hawaii and SDSU be played in November.
