UCSD beat USU in Logan last night. They gave SDSU fits as well. I know when we're on, we're competitive. I'd like to see some victories out of those, however.

Definitely that Utah State is not as good as expected.
I love that our team (mostly) plays hard, but they are not a very good basketball team. It's just the truth. We are good enough to pull off a couple unexpected wins in Laramie and have a couple surprisingly competitive games on the road, but I don't expect us to win but 1 or 2 conference road games this season. We will almost assuredly finish conference play under .500 and likely end up as an 8 seed or worse in the conference tournament.
I'm fine with those results this year, but we need to see some signs of improvement next season. A good coach can change the course of a basketball program in just 2-3 seasons.

Bellamarine was pretty good a few years ago. Good victory last night.

Bellarmine is by far the worst D1 team we've played this year. I'm glad we boatraced them. It would have been very bad if that one was close.
It sounds like they were missing a couple of their better players, but yeah, that was a pretty bad basketball team we played last night.
It was nice for the players to get a W, but I have a hard time seeing the value in playing games against teams like that in front of a few hundred fans and a handful of students.

A win is a win. Helps justify the AD's $551k a year salary and the basketball coaches $750k a year salary. McClain was a master at this.

At least McClain won. He probably would have been close to winning a championship during the regular season if Nance had not gotten Mono halfway through.

Well boy don't I feel like an idiot but McClain still had some pretty decent teams especially earlier on.
