USU vs SJSU

I thought you couldn't change the call from a previous play like that. The ball was snapped on 1st down after the punt. You learn something new everyday.

Wow USU absolutely rocked SJSU in San Jose.
Assuming the Pokes handle this "really good defense" tomorrow, I will be convinced the Pokes will be 7-1 when they play Fresno.
6-1 after CSU for sure, but the SJSU game got me wondering. But man Stanford, Minnesota, and Utah State totally dominated them, and their one win was a very unimpressive win against an FCS school.

Bad coaching hire.

1- SJSU has no discipline at ALL
2- that game was actually a snoozefest

As a USU alum, I follow the Aggies closely. The more I watch, the more I'm convinced

Brett > Chuckie

No question.

The end.

Ah man. Cowboy Junkey and a couple others said that on the MWC board, and you would think that CJ and company called Chuckie a horrible QB the way the USU fans piled on.

That may be true (and I tend to agree), but this is a team sport and USU looks like a more complete team to me. USU's O-Line and receivers just manhandled SJSU on running plays and DiMartino (sp?) showed a burst that I haven't seen from our backfield (although Wick makes up for it by running over and through people).

They also have a quality FG kicker (we don't even try FG's anymore, even from 40 yds) and I think their defense is pretty good (especially by MWC standards, a conference that has completely reverted back to the Wacky-WAC days by this point...which is not a problem, Pokes were a lot better in those days and this WYO team reminds of those teams).

I think USU, not Fresno, is the best team in the league right now.

Diaz made a few kicks but don't let it fool you into thinking they have a quality kicker. That's still tbd. Kicking killed them vs USC, thus Diaz getting a chance. I definitely think usu is best team currently. That being said, I think I take Brett right now. This is NOT a slight towards Chuckie. I've been to usu and Uw games this year.

Mwc qbs
Carr
Smith
Keeton
Just my opinion.

I won't take anything away from Carr but you put Carr in Wyoming he doesn't have the same year he is having Brett is just that much better IMO but Carr is still a quality QB.

Blah Blah Blah....way to support the home team. I remember a time when fans bitched that the team didn't believe in themselves and didn't know how to win. Now look who doesn't believe in the Pokes.

I think the best teams in the MWC are as follows:
1. Wyoming. Better offense than anyone, and it's very balanced like USU but our QB is slightly better.
2. Utah State.
3. Fresno St.
4. Boise State.

I still think the winner of the Wyo USU game hosts and then wins the MWC Title ga,e

I agree with this. USU is the best team in the conference to this point because of their defense. They seem to be the only team in the conference with a defense by MWC standards. Plus they get both Boise and Wyoming at home.

Hopefully Wyoming's defense will improve by the time we have to play them.

Can the MWC trade San Jose for Montana?

In my opinion, of all of the new teams, SJSU is the one that undermines the credibility of our league. We know their athletic programs are not for real. Unfortunately, I do not know that I would want their diploma hanging on my office wall either.

I agree, I would take either school from Montana over SJSU.
