UNM game

Here's hoping for a dominant win by the POKES. If we get up by a comfortable margin, I hope the staff utilizes the cushion to work on a few plays---especially if Williams is in there. I don't think that will happen, though. I gotta admit, I'm thinking of putting a wager on the Lobos to cover. Rocky is pretty creative on defense and he should be able to scheme pretty well for the vanilla WYO offense. I also think Bohl reals things in and goes super conservative this game. The only thing holding me back is that I think there is a chance that the run game goes off today.

You might be surprised to find out New Mexico's run defense is #78 in the nation allowing 154.6 yards per game.
Wyoming is #84 allowing 161.2 yards per game. New Mexico is #43 in passing yards allowed - 207.4 yards per game.
Wyoming is #6 in passing yards allowed with only 158.7 yards per game. New Mexico is going to have to run to have a chance because I don't think they can pass on Wyoming. But I also don't believe Wyoming can pass against their defense.

I'm thinking this one is going to be a really low scoring affair, something like 10-7 or 13-10. I hope I'm wrong but unless Wyoming's run game takes off, it could be nothing but trading punts most of the day. I am taking New Mexico and the 20 points. I just don't see how the Pokes out score them by that many when they haven't sniffed the end zone in 6 quarters. Now, prove me wrong Pokes!!

The stats stated are probably pertinent to today's game.

But I remember long, long ago Montana (or State) was first nationally in pass defense. How? Because their run defense was so poor it there was no point in passing.

The fact that Chambers started cements the fact that our offense is terrible. We may beat New Mexico but I don’t expect to win any other game on the schedule after this.

Chambers sucks. Wish they would have given Levi at least a chance to start to see if he can throw better. Against good teams probably doesn’t matter who the QB is.

Chambers 1-5 for 4 yards and 1 interception. Great Quarter backing.

Haven’t scored a point in 7 quarters.

I teared up a little when Sean went down last year but I’d be ok with seeing Hank Gibbs at this point if Williams doesn’t have it. We can’t keep running Chambers out there throwing picks
