Let's just end this whole "UNC is good" "No they aren't" conversation with some results!

2003 9-2 (independent)
2004 2-9 (independent)
2005 4-7 (independent)
2006 1-10 (0-8 Big Sky)
2007 1-11 (1-7 Big Sky)
2008 1-10 (1-7 Big Sky)
2009 3-8 (1-7 Big Sky)
2010 3-8 (2-6 Big Sky)
2011 0-11 (0-8 Big Sky)
2012 5-6 (4-4 Big Sky)

I don't know if they play a game against a D2 team once a year that does not show up on the results but those are what I found on ESPN.

So in the last 10 years they have had 1 winning season and that was 2003.
29-82 overall. Winning percentage of .261
And in the 7 years they have been in the Big Sky they have had only 1 season where they went .500 in conference play, which was last year. So sure call them a program on the rise, but after not winning a game the year before even 1 win is an improvement so of course they are a "program on the rise".
A total of 9 wins in conference play vs. 49 losses. Winning percentage of .155

I think it is safe to say there are one of the worst programs in the Big Sky and possibly the entire D1-AA.

Pretty sure BigSkyBears never said UNC was good, only that they have improved. 5-6 sadly enough is the 2nd best win total they have had in the last 10 years......so he is right, they are improved....even if those overall records are terrible.

Jesus H. Christ. I never said we were good. I never said we were going to beat Wyoming. I do however think we are decent team, and we have a bright future with our new coach. I do think Tit-less is an idiot because he thinks we are currently the worst team in the league. If your with Tit-less and you think I'm stupid for thinking that a 6th place team out of a 13 team conference is decent and certainly not the worst team in the leauge, then I don't know what else to say.

Those records figure in D2 games...UNC actually has very few FCS wins since the move up.

However, going 0-11 (that included a loss to an NAIA team!!) to 5-6 (4-4 Big Sky) is a pretty big improvement. I don't think we will be playing the worst team in FCS this year.

As long as Savannah St still exists UNC won't be the worst FCS team.

I'm losing touch with my familiarity of FCS schools these days.....a lot of the good ones are now in C-USA/Sun Belt or wherever. App State, James Madison.....won't be long before someone comes calling about NDSU.....all they've done in the last 15 years is move up from level to level.

That could explode in the faces of all those schools.....but nonetheless, the FCS level is looking more and more watered down with every passing month....

No kidding. The big players are leaving one by one. NDSU better find a place to play if they want to move up though.. a 17000 seat Fargo Dome may not fly in the big boy leagues.

They most definitely have some work to do. That and nobody volunteers to go to Fargo.

I understand the money argument....I get it. But I still shake my head at most of these FCS move ups.....

FCS Playoffs > obscurewebsite.com Bowl sponsored by some Tax agency

BTW, anyone know where Lindenwood is? I would hope some of these UNC Bears fans could help us out??

Lindenwood Lions of St. Charles, Missouri (suburb of St. Louis)

One of the newest members of the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association of NCAA Division II.

Was one of the better NAIA football programs before moving up into the NCAA about 2 years ago.

Any questions?

Bears: Who's the UNC QB this year? Same dude as last year?

Yes. Seth Lobato.
