Uni Update

Man, I remember showing up to college my freshman year and that being the year UW rolled out the prairie gold and that idiotic mascot.. man alive, I thought there was going to be riots.

Didn't Wyo wear those back when the hoops team won the MWC title, and went on to beat Zaga in the NCAA tourney?
Maybe we should get back to our winning jerseys!

I like all brown as well. I didn't even think of it as an advantage. Sort of like a pitcher on the white (uniform) team having a slight advantage. I like your thinking.

I always thought the 2006 Wyo vs Utah jersey's held a bit of an avantage. I also liked the all brown look too. Plus, we did win, not that the uniforms would have had much of an advantage (but it didn't hurt us either) .... :)

Maybe we should do a brown and gold field turf. Brown grass, gold lines. All brown home uni's...

Nah. If we did go that route, they did prove their marketing of the blue field. I don't think its a good idea. I like green turf.

I remember an article in the boomerang while back. The city was raising prices on water. I remember the comment saying "UW should change their colors to Brown and Dead-Lawn gold!" Cracked me up.....

That would be cool. Also, I was always partial to the Dimel era away uniforms. White helmet with no stripes and a plain brown steamboat with no yellow outline. White jerseys with simple brown numbers....no outline, no "Wyoming", etc. Wyoming equivalent to Penn State unis.

I'm with you. I loved those road uniforms. They had a simplicity and old school vibe that just oozed "Cowboy Tough". My brother and I went to a road game in CSU in the late 90's, with snow and fog, and the Cowboys looked like the ghosts of football past in those jerseys. They just looked bad ass in the snow and fog and we won that tough snow road game.

I would love to see a gold helmet without stripes and a brown steamboat on the side. That would look great with a lot of different jerseys.
 
These uniforms are the best I've seen since 1996. Our uniforms were awful under Glenn, New Balance were the worst sponsor you could possibly have.

I liked them. We were unique. Now we are just another Nike school and very low on their totem pole
 
i still love the old school helmet, with the gold outline on the steamboat and the brown and gold sticker down middle over the top and the old brown jerseys and gold pants at home, to me that's tradition...the all white helmet with no stripe still looks horrible imo
