Unequal Revenue Distribution

There has been some behind the scenes dialogue about the MWC embracing revenue distribution based on field / court performance (win / loss records to be specific). What do you all think about that? Personally, I like it. Shit or get off the pot. Win or go away.

Works for me. It encourages schools to actually pony up cash so that their programs win. When they win, the programs get more cash.

I'm fine with revenue distribution based on performance. It's when we get to the "we have a larger media market" argument that it starts to turn to shit.

I like unequal distribution based on performance a lot...unfortunately college athletics are a business and such a plan would ENCOURAGE schools to invest in their athletic programs.

However, I think the MWC just needs to stop worrying about Boise State. If Boise State wants back make the exit fees so high that they won't just leave at any opportunity. Stability is necessary as the realignment mess continues.

Not sure if I like this....I see the concept behind it, but this could keep teams like UNM, UNLV, etc. from ever succeeding in football. To be a respected conference, you have to be solid from top to bottom. This could have a bad trickle effect...

I agree plus it just might cause more to consider cheating.

Every athletic program that is successful cheats anyway. Yes, that includes those holy rollers at bWHYu and their cheating 26 year old bullshit scam they have going on.

But the successful ones that bring in $$ for the NCAA who do get caught i.e. Auburn don't get hit with major penalties.

I was always told:
SMU beat Texas on a Saturday 20-6 on national TV when Texas was # 2. It pissed off Texas people and one of the Texas guys who was "in" with the NCAA got the NCAA investigators on the SMU campus the following Monday.
So Texas can do "it" buy little private school cannot.

So yeah, don't beat the teams that the NCAA favours either.

And the bitch liars at USC are way off trying to claim that they were hit worse than anyone except SMU. That's not close to true. USC and others have earned the Death Penalty but.......oh just fuck 'em all.
TCU was the next worst........from what I remember.

It's time for Wyoming to beat the Longhorns.
