Who here is hitting up the football game and then the basketball game... I am visiting the campus friday going to the BYU game and i think i will be going to the basketball game i cant wait

My wife and I are taking in the volleyball game afterwards. I think the Cowgirls are hosting Air Force.
I've gotta tell ya, since the beginning of the season I have had the strongest hunch that the Pokes are going to upset BYU and I am so pumped!

The wife & I will be there for both games. I want to see the goal posts come down again and bywho go back home to that stinking provostan with their tail between their legs. After that, I'm excited to see this years' BB team with the new guys suited up that I have heard so much about.

UW Athletics - this elevator is headed up!

How would the goal posts come down again? Unless you snap these new ones off or you bring along some serious wrenches to loosen the connection to the plates they're attached to, I don't see how it would be possible.

My family is going to the volleyball game as well. As soon as both schedules came out we have been looking forward to taking our daughter to the volleyball game that night. I/we constantly make the trip for football but this was the only volleyball game on the same day, after my daughter's volleyball season was over. Our family is big volleyball fans (I don't obsess over it like UW football, but still fans)

Fullback41,
Can't say for certain, but the past 2 times that we attended a volleyball game the night of a football game our football ticket stubs gained us free admission to the volleyball game. Just something to keep in mind before you toss your stubs.

Not to bag on volleyball much (love to play) but based on UW's performance this year, it should be free. One conference win, is that right?

Gonna be a great day for UW sports...the football game will probably end around 3:30, and the men's hoops starts up at 5:30. Just enough time to run to the Library and do some "studying" between.

Valid point, but Air Force's volleyball team isn't doing so well this season either so the game should be competitive. It's a great atmosphere when the place is near capacity!

I have a somewhat related question to the upcoming sports weekend. I hear that UW Band hits a few bars the night before a football game to get the fans pumped up?! I'd love to know when/where would be the best way to experience it along with a beer and a burger..... and perhaps some pool?? Thanks in advance.

The band hits all of the big bars in town. We used to start at Mingles, then work our way downtown to the likes of JJ's, 3rd Street, the Cowboy, the Alibi, etc... We used to end up at Bud's. (Have been out of school for a few years, but the route remains unchanged to my knowledge.)

My favorite is the Library. Best microbrewed beer in Laramie by far (and it is truly microbrewed). They had a beer there a few weeks ago called WyoHop...it was excellent. Give them a shout, and ask about what time the band shows up, etc. They have everything you are inquiring about, beer, burgers, pool, UW band, etc. 307-742-0500

Is this WyoHop bottled and distributed....?

No, None of the library's beer is bottled. Its all served on site. I beleive they do send some up to cnetennial and some to a bar in sheridan but the rest is served in laramie. It is great beer. Had beers win the Jackson Brewfest and the Saratoga brewfest. Their stout is also appropriately named for gameday. the steamboat stout.

Good info. I also know...they average between 6 - 8 and sometimes over 9% alcohol. Like drinking a bottle of wine! Any of you cold / domestic / light drinkers out there be careful.
