Looks like despite what some people have said, the players really did like DC. But so far, it sounds like a good majority are staying.
Not seeing much more than polite expressions of gratitude. Not sure where you're drawing the inference that he was well-liked. Too many former players have told me otherwise.

Is that players that left early? Players that didn't get the playing time that they thought they should? Or what? All the players I've talked too, Unrein, Puletasi, McNeill, Leonard, Bolger, Prosinksi, Ruff, just to name a few really liked DC.
You should talk to some who didn't make the Christensen clique.

Again, were they players that just outright didn't like DC, or they thought they deserved more or what? Like I said, that list was just to name a few. Triple that list, and I've yet to find one who didn't down right not like the guy. The worst I got was he could be a hard ass at times.

Connor Riese: I would like to thank Coach Christensen for the opportunity he blessed me with to be playing football at the Division 1 level. #respect

We are going to disagree again. I have personally spoken to many of the players on your list. A couple had no problem with him, the others flat out said they didn't like and/or respect him.

Chad Reese blowin' up Twitter right now with comments about the coaching staff.

Me and Coach C didn't always see eye to eye but the man gave me chances nobody will ever understand and I'm forever thankful to him…

I learned a lot about myself bing under his program and learned a lot about being a coach and running a system be it good or bad

I'm also very thankful for Coach Tormey as well. He taught me more about Adversity than anything.

Whoever comes in to Coach that program will have big shoes to fill. Not only in terms of W and L's but developing men…

also thanked Hill, Cain, Crawford

Very Strange??? Why woyuld he quit mid-season? Might as well play a few more games for the coaches you look up to regardless of your future plans.

In fact NONE have said that they are leaving, so I don't feel your comment about "a good majority are staying." is accurate. Will some leave after the spring semester? Probably. Would some have left even if Christensen had stayed? Probably. I really feel that no matter what the feelings are, that there will be a minimal number of kids that will leave because of the coaching change......because believe it or not, I feel that most of these kids are Cowboys at heart, enjoy their relationships with their fellow teammates and chose UW for an education as well and so they don't want to mess that up and in the end just REALLY WANT TO WIN BADLY here at UW.

Chill man. It was more for the troll formerly known as east popcorn than anyone else, since he was claiming most of players would be leaving. And don't get me wrong, I'm glad that it looks like all the players (except the 4th and 5th year seniors, since thye're graduating) are staying, as I was a little concerned about players leaving due to the coaching change. But after all of these twitter posts and Beaverpoke's confirmation, I'm glad they're staying.
