Twitter says Derek Cooke is a Cowboy.

I think the best case scenario has Cooke filling the role that Nance did most of this past season - energy/hustle/rebounding/post defense off the bench. He won't even have to play quite as many minutes as Nance did since Sellers will likely get some of them as well. I can live with that. You can never have too many big, athletic bodies.

We'll likely start Gilmore, Martinez, Sobey, Washington, Nance. I'm guessing the eight-nine man rotation will be those guys plus some combination of Grabau, Sellers, Cooke, and Smith. Maybe Adams can push Grabau and Smith for minutes right away?

This is all assuming Washington gets his shit together between now and the fall.

I am frankly not expecting a quantum leap from this team next season unless Nance makes a quantum leap (entirely possible/borderline likely) AND one of our guards actually demonstrates some sort of ability to get his own shot consistently (more dubious). I'm OK with treading water for a year because I think by the time the 2013-2014 season rolls around we will have a junior class that will be a goddamned monster. That class (Grabau, Nance, Sellers, Cooke, Hankerson, Smith) could very well be the foundation of back-to-back conference championships.
