Haha to argue that we should wear a certain type of uniform and say that it doesn't matter how we look all in the same sentence makes about as much sense as wiping before you shit.
I think going traditional with uniforms is a bad move. The older generation of fans who were there for the glory years will absolutely love it. The 18 yr old recruits we are hoping to steal from other FBS programs (not FCS programs) won't. This I promise you. They are, in fact, that shallow.

I thought the camo unis were good for one game....loved different combos etc....not like we used colors that weren't brown and gold....the unis do matter to kids and loved the different helmets.....of course it would be fine with maddogg's old practice jerseys and roos for cleats if we win in em :thumb:

To say different color combos dont matter to players is insane. They need they swag yo.
I want an all yellow combo for home or road. Yellow helmet with Brown Steamboat included.
And if we could get a brown chrome helmet that would be awesome.
But I do agree that the flywire bullshit needs to go

So how does Alabama, Penn State, USC and Texas get all those great players? None of these teams have materially changed their uniform design in decades. I think is has to do something with success.

I hope that we keep moving forward with uniform creativity. Not a single recruit has any idea what Wyoming's traditional uniforms look like nor do they care. Uniforms are for the players, not the old fans that complain all game when people stand up to support the team.

This thread is going down the crazy path really damn quick. To say/think that the uniforms don't/shouldn't matter to recruits is asinine. With all things equal between two teams, would you pick a team where old timers hold on to past dreams and uniforms are relatively boring (one home, one away), or would you pick a team where the uniforms are dynamic and interesting? Now, this board is made up old farts who can't stop living in the past and have no sense of what young people want today...so I expect this question to backfire somewhat.
How about look at all the military service dress uniforms. With all things being equal, would you rather wear the drab, boring Army uniform, or would you rather wear the Marine Corps dress uniform that makes panties wet worldwide? (I'm in the Air Force right now, and have seen all the services uniforms, and the Marines by far have the best looking.)
Do you guys want Olive USO on this team? He was one of the recruits that were very excited about the camp unis when we were recruiting him.

As most have stated, I could care less what uniforms we wear as long as we are competitive/winning in them. I know Bohl said we'll wear brown and gold.....but that includes all our unis except for one. My personal favorites are the gold jersey with brown bottoms and a brown helmet.

Honestly, I would LOVE to go to those concepts someone put up here a few weeks ago, tho sort of new twist on the old school unis. But while it SHOULDN"T matter to the new recruits, it DOES, so lets just use whatever is the most popular with them, I am sure I am in the minority of college aged kids who prefer the old school stuff. But you know what I like more than throwback stuff? Winning. Whatever helps us win.
