Wyoming men's BB coach will be a surprise to many who don't know the program and it's history.

after Burman's letter I don't think a UW official would be stoking the fire. I think we have a new BB coach. Just wonder who?

The timing suggests Shyatt but I have also read Taylor had until today to accept or we went another way.

Shyatt or Dunlap?

Unfortunately, only time will tell.

If you take this appart...If you don't know the program and history, you'll be surprised. SO, if you know the program and history, you won't. Meaning, it's someone that has ties to UW. Shyatt, Cox, or Gosar?

Crap, I sure as hell hope it isn't Shyatt again.

Dooley or Kennedy

I think it is either Taylor or Shyatt (if this tweet actually means a coach was hired). If the tweet is saying we have a new coach you can take it two ways.

1. Taylor is our new coach, and it means if you didn't know about Wyoming bball tradition you wouldn't believe we could hire Taylor (or Taylor viewing us a quality school to work for).

or

2. Shyatt, since he was a past at UW and he left unfinished business.

I would be happy with either and I hope this tweet means there is a new coach at UW (I still don't know if this tweet means that a coach was hired, but I don't know what else it would mean). I hope it is a done deal though!

Couldn't really be Dooley since Kansas is still in the tournament and I doubt a UW official would share that we are talking to an assistant coach currently in the tourney.

hadn't thought of that one

Wolfinbarger is the Web Supervisor for Institutional Marketing at the University of Wyoming. He knows what he is doing with this tweet A bit cryptic though

That is kind of what I took from it, but it is impossible to know what exactly a tweet means ( but what do I know?). I really hope this coaching search is over and I hope it is a quality hire .

I agree with the first part about being surprised. It means that people around the COUNTRY are going to be surprised that the person would choose Wyoming if they do not know the history and the program. I disagree it means that they have ties to Wyoming.

I think it will be either Dunlap who is very very well respected inside Basketball circles across the nation or it will be Taylor who no one thought he would take a Job at Wyoming because it would be a lateral move or maybe a worse move. Just my opinion.

We will see I guess.

PLEASE don't give me a heart attack!

I want either Dunlap or Taylor!

I honestly do not think it will be someone who has ties to Wyoming, meaning (Gosar or Cox) because no one around the country would be surprised by that ...most people would be like yeah that makes sense because afterall it is Wyoming. Now I do not mean they won't have any ties to Wyoming but it has to be someone who people around the country will be surprised that this person would choose the Wyoming job.

So condense the candidates down from there and who is it? Still think it would be either Dunlap or Taylor based on the names that we know of ... unless of course they have someone esle that nobody has a clue about?

I agree with this. It sounds to me like it is a quality, respected coach who is well known around the country - which narrows it down to 2 or 3 candidates.
