Oh damn! I guess there goes the running game.

Like we even HAD one to beginning with?!!!! I know Brian Hill wanted to go to the NFL (& I glad he did) but jezzzz....did he have to leave a year early?!!!

Definitely could've been worse. Obviously it'd be nice to have several to choose from since we obviously need a solid runner, but it's not like he was a top recruit. If anything, this might make us more interesting to somebody like Jeremy Banks and Hassan Haskins (both 3 star guys who I think have visited).

Wasn't his brother a legacy, so we had to take him?

While I love the reference...I thought of this one myself...

Classic, Chevy Chase used to be the man!!! Fletch forever, LOL

No big deal.

Just ask anyone on here, we lost 1/3 of the freshmen from last year and that's not a big deal.

Why do we struggle to retain kids so much?

I also thought we were an outlier with losing more players than anybody else. Then somebody posted stats from how many players were lost by all FBS programs. Turns out we're right smack in the middle.

It's very difficult to make the transition from high school football to college, where you suddenly don't have your parents looking after you, where classes are suddenly a bit more difficult, and football takes almost all your free time.

I don't know personally what it's like, but I imagine it's similar to the splash of cold water in the face one gets when one joins the military, except it's a lot harder to quit on the military. ;)

Thank you. Fletch is one of the twenty movies I say are my ten all-time favorites.
