I know the idea floated around Akron and he still has 3 years before a football team would touch him. Hire him as a consultant for the coaching search now (with Tiller) and give him a shot at President.
He is very motivated to chase academic ambitions (at least for now), so commit resources to him in that regard. Also, ask him to fix athletics, namely football. He has been through the ranks and wouldn't accept failure.
Crazy thought and wouldn't fly at all, but it would be interesting.
