Tormey is a pefect fit for Idaho. While we will all miss Tormey's incredible contributions to our program, it is completely understandable that he would leave for such a great position.

I am about to start a Tormey for Idaho HC website here soon
Or we hire our 3rd D-coord and he turns things around and gives us a respectable defense. That would make sense, wouldn't it? I know that hiring a new coach or staff guarantees nothing, but sticking with the same group of coaches that don't get the job done seems a bit defeatist. The question is, are the people that got you into the mess, going to get you out of the mess? More times than not the answer is no. That is why there is turn-over in all positions in all jobs, striving to improve. Having said that, Tormey is probably a small part of the problem.kansasCowboy said:

I haven't been super impressed with his ability to coach the defense yet but he is the guy who brought in Hali-api-api at middle linebacker and I think by the time he is a senior he is going to be a beast. I think if you give him a few years to get the defensive personnel that he wants for his defense you will see improvement.
Injuries on the defensive side of the ball have been pretty crippling this year as well so I can't put too much judgement on anything in the near future. If their was a coaching change I hope the scheme is at least the scheme that players were recruited to play.

Let the trend continue? Let's not get a coach and let him build a defense, lets make a mess with our schemes get very lackluster recruits (because you know the recruits will be coming in droves knowing we change out their coach at the end of every year), Let's watch confused kids miss assignments every week on the field instead of getting used to something and succeeding in that.
