Top 25 Rankings

You know this conversation is likely to be one sided as I feel most of us will agree that the current top 25 is severely whack. I'm not even talking about BSU or TCU either I'm talking about the 1 sided favoritism shown.

You have Baylor who absolutely crushed Iowa State 49-26 back in October. Then you have Oklahoma State who loses to Iowa State 31-37 yet they sit at #4 in the nation after beating no one really. Sure they beat T A&M by 1 point. But seriously these standings are just totally fucked.

The top 3 teams IMO are as correct as you can get, They deserve their rankings but Oklahoma State doesn't deserve to be there they haven't beat anyone worthy of a top 5 spot.

4-6 Are all off IMO Houston who hasn't really played anyone doesn't really deserve the spot and BSU doesn't either they haven't played anyone. I really hate Oklahoma and Oregon but they are more deserving of the top 5, I don't even understand these polls anymore they make literally no sense at all.

Opinions?

How does Oklahoma deserve a top 5 spot? They lost to Texas Tech, who got slaughtered 66-6 to Oklahoma State, and that was before losing to Baylor...

To me the biggest WTF has to be Virginia Tech (#4 coaches, 6 AP, 5 BCS). Their one loss is to Clemson where they got beat up 23-3 (at Home!) and the only solid win they have was over Georgia Tech 37-26. How they are more deserving than Stanford or even Boise (arguably stronger schedule) is a mystery to me.

Yea Texas is a big what the fuck for me. They have a HORRIBLE season last year yet they start the season ranked. Then they play 4 teams who really aren't that good and are suddenly in the top 10 (or 11 I can't remember). Then they go on to lose 4 out of the next six but still get a #25 ranking? And they just barely beat A&M so that will put them back into the top 15 next week....

Totally out-of-whack. Most voters have their mind made up of which conferences are better from top to bottom and use that to judge their entire vote. Sure, it might be fair to say the SEC is tops and the WAC is at the bottom, but in between these two the order changes every year and sometimes week to week. We'll have this forever without a playoff system. Even then it'll mostly only figure out who's number one but the rest of the top 25 will still be very subjective.
