Coach Windis was my teacher in High School and coached the 1982 Outlaws to the State Championship. He was the king of the two-handed set shot.

As for growing up in Rawlins - Great antelope hunting and great access to the Snowy Range, Seminole and the country straight south in the Sierra Madres was amazing. Great place to grow up.
Seems like Rawlins is experiencing a bit of growth. There's a new Wal-Mart and quite a few other new buildings that I notice every time I drive through. How are things there economically there?

They've got a huge wind farm going in that's going to keep them in construction and electrical jobs for the next few years.

Always said growing up that I would never live in Rawlins but guess what? Here I am. Just like every town, it has its good points and bad points. I have a great job, as does my wife and we are close to the Snowys and Sierra Madres where she and I both grew up. The town itself has improved over the last couple of years and seems to be continually adding new businesses here and there. If I had a choice to live any where else I wanted, would I? Yes, but who wouldn't? You make the best of the situation you have and roll with it. Oh, and Tony Windis loves Anong's Thai restaurant. I see him in there for lunch quite often!

I used to pitch shit about rawlins. Quit when I met a couple of cool guys from there. People make the place, which says a lot about provo.
