TONIGHT Bryce Meredith wrestles for Nat'l Championship

I thought the stall called in the third really hurt Bryce's chances. He was in a dominant position being above and behind Heil. Heil held on and the ref called the stall, although I thought the ref called it too quick. Bryce was still attacking from his position. You have to give credit to Heil though. That kid is strong. He held on and kept Bryce from getting the takedown.

It was a great match. It's amazing how close the margin is between national champion and not national champion.

Next year is his year. He very well could be a 3 time finalist and two time champ

He'll have to get by Heil, he's also just a sophomore

They might not spend two more years in the same weight class

Meredith wrestled his ass off and ultimately came up just a bit short. I agree on the stall being premature. That being said, the national exposure and fact that he's just a sophomore will help the program out a ton.

Or maybe he wasn't familiar with a new rule at the collegiate level and a different style that was called correctly?? Bryce put up a helluva fight, don't diminish it by saying the ref blew it. This tweet wasn't referring to Heil, it was referring to the stall call on Bryce.
