Put it in writing.....what happens tomorrow?

-If you predict the game correctly, you get to make like you're cooler than the rest of us for a few hours.
-If your prediction turns out to be drastically off, you must tolerate Skunkapekiller's realignment threads with a reply.

Toledo - 17
Wyoming - 38

If the Cowboys are the MWC title contender everyone says they are, they should win and win comfortably. With Terrence Owens likely out, and the Rockets being on the road back-to-back weeks, UW should win by a solid margin.

If pokes can get up early and FORCE them to pass all night, we will win. Our run d is still suspect. I think our pass d is coming together.

Pokes win 38-24.

I'm only going with my head this week :) I'm guessing Pokes win this one by a score of 37-31. They manage to put points on the board but their defense cannot contain Brett Smith and the Cowboy Offense.

Let's try this again.

Pokes 41
Toledo 10

Home opener, we start out strong and Toledo is gasping for air as the game progresses. As long as we don't screw up field position with mediocre punts and kick offs, we run them off the field. Three and one heading into Reno!

I love the coaching philosphy. Just a flip a coin to name your starter.... :brick:

"Campbell said quarterback Terrance Owens will start Saturday "if all things are equal" during the week between he and Austin Dantin. Owens did not win the right to start the Arizona game last week, but will get the nod because it is his turn after Dantin won a coin flip to start at Arizona."

A couple years ago we were handling these guys at the half, fairly easily. Late in the 3rd quarter they replaced Dantin with Owens and if there was a 5th quarter, they may have beaten us. I thought Owens was out this week, which shows up in my aggressive prediction. Still, Owens or not, I don't see these guys stopping the Pokes, so I'll stick with my score.

Just read on a Toledo Rockets forum that their HC said that the elevation won't be a factor against us. Has their HC EVER been to the mountains before?

Nebraska at least had some experience playing at elevation against the Fluffs, but Toledo plays against other teams who are about at sea level, not 4000ft above, let alone 7220ft above sea level. If this guy doesn't think elevation will be a factor, he should ask Nebraska, Texas, Ole Miss, and Virginia if elevation doesn't matter.

Toledo will not get close to B. Smitty and the Poke O will have a hayday! Toledo doesn't have the speed on offense to get to the corners like Texas did, and I can't see them being able to run it up the gut if Texas had a hard time doing it.

Pokes 42
Toledo 14 (scored in garbage time...)

I think we lock it up on defense this year. The biggest challenge is going to be containing their QB, Owens. We had them shut down a few years ago when we played at their house, but Owens came in and shredded us. I think our defense is much improved, and our offense is looking like something special this season.

Wyoming 37
Toledo 13
