So I guess it was him. Six months ago, somebody on Reddit had an AMA about knowing about players that did these types of things (essentially selling autographs), and he said he had proof on one of the Heisman candidates doing it. The moderators were given a video as proof and then deleted it after promising to stay out of it, essentially.

Whether you think players should be able to make some extra money on the side on their names or not - the fact still remains that it's very clearly against the rules to do so.

Seems like there is a good chance Jameis Winston could end up in the same situation. He has over 100 items linked to the same person.

Yeah, I saw that... and last night they talked about potential evidence that police AND the university had tried covering something up in a different situation as well (the rape allegations?). Either way, they said if there was good evidence of this, Florida State's program could end up being shut down over it in a similar way to SMU's.

I have a feeling that has a snowball's chance in hell of actually happening, though.

One can always hope. But it's looking like it might become a Federal Investigation. They even tried covering up an obvious Grand Theft Auto case and the player who stole the vehicle got a slap on the wrist.

Although I don't really care for the Florida Gators, at least they take rape allegations seriously. FSU didn't even bother doing an internal investigation (as required by Federal Law).

If there is one school in recent years who deserves the death penalty, it's FSU.

Agreed. I am so tired of hearing about Rapeis Winston and how he skates by on everything then goes on camera and regurgitates the same drivel about being a role model and held to a different standard that the whole country gobbles up and resumes their place on his nuts. He's the most transparent POS in sports and seems to constantly get the benefit of the doubt. EVEN Cam Newton was held accountable more than this turd.

I so entirely agree about Winston.
The crab legs thing, the student union thing, being in trouble with the baseball coach, then obviously the rape thing. No one seemed to give a shit about it. He is a huge scum bag.
