This is interesting stuff. So, if I understa nd this correctly, this dude's tweets is buying the fact that Teo didn't know?

Lennay is a total jersey chaser. I can't believe she would cheat on poor Manti like that.
 
Really it just reminds me of bad publicity stories that actors often have like the hot co-star lover they are dating, the rival actor they are fighting, the person they saved from drowning and stuff like that. Ya know----acting.
Maybe Te'o did it for publicity and he was his own publicist, or maybe he had help or whatever........
As a footballer he does nothing for me. He is what Alabama made him look like to me.
I'd say something here about my opinion on him but it's not really worth it.

My thoughts exactly. I believe that he did this for publicity with the help of a family friend. There's going to be a lot of flak that comes out of this story, and it's going to hurt his career immensely.

If true, I can only come to one conclusion and that is that maybe he wanted to have people think he had a GF when perhaps he really wasn't into girls? He clearly could have had his pick of any girl at Notre Dame. With everything that has been released since, I can still only come to my initial conclusion. Nothing else makes any bit of sense to me and is full of holes.
 
Someone on another board I post on joked he was gay. I know it was a harmless joke but I'm starting to think that may actually be right. It weould fit the reasoning behind all of this if it comes out that Manti knew from the get go.
 
If Manti did turn out to be gay like so many think, than I truly feel sorry for him. Nobody should have to mask who they are or be ashamed of their identity. That said, if that's true, he absolutely must come clean about everything. This lie will only get bigger otherwise.

+1 Plus the amount of denial in Hawaii will go crazy until he admits he lied to everyone.

For those who don't know, Manti is a legend in Hawaii. Totally untouchable. Think a Hawaiian verison of Paul Roach or Randy Welniak.
